What are Volunteer Mentors?

Education and training is a key focus of our programs along with developing life skills. We also recognise that some young people need extra support to remain engaged with their schooling and to achieve their goals, and seek Volunteer Mentors that have a similar viewpoint.

As a Volunteer Mentor, you will have the opportunity to utilize your life skills and professional knowledge to enhance the lives of our local youth while working alongside our staff in our programs and workshops.

What is IN-STeP Looking For?

IN-STeP offers a range of workshop and training opportunities to young people in our Programs that improve their life-skills and provide industry experience that will enhance their career choices.

If you have an interest or skill that you think you could impart to our young people, we would like to hear from you.

How do I become involved?

To become a Volunteer Mentor, you will:
Hold, or be able to obtain, a current Working With Young People Blue Card
Be passionate about improving the life options for young people and be prepared to show our young people that we care about their future
