IN-STeP: Industry-School Training Partnership Inc.

IN-STeP is currently funded through the Australian Government Initiative, Career Advice Australia and delivers one of the key elements of this initiative, Local Community Partnerships (LCP). An LCP implements three critical career development and transition support programs;

Structured Workplace Learning provide young people with structured learning opportunities in a real or simulated workplace

Career and Transition Support help young people access a range of career development and transition support programmes and services

Adopt a School encourage businesses to work with schools to give young people hands-on learning experience and develop their understanding of work and employability skills

IN-STeP currently promotes and implements the following programmes under this initiative;

• Australian Career and Development Studies
• Industry presentations and visits
• Careers Explored
• Career education materials
• Teacher network groups
• Industry/business networks

Our Aim

To encourage young people to listen to their heart, follow their dreams and realise their future potential through empowerment, knowledge and experience. IN-STeP would like every young person to have the opportunity to explore their relevant pathways to achieve that ideal career.

Working with community groups, local business and industry, Government organisations and the community as a whole, IN-STeP would like to build the bridge between key stakeholders, facilitate quality partnerships, and improve opportunities for young people, allowing them to explore and fulfil their future endeavours.
